Its the time of year for end of year functions, it's also the time of year for us to all think about workplace conduct We hope you are looking forward to your end-of-year festivities and the festive season. This is a time for you to celebrate the successes of the year with your colleagues. With this in mind, we would like to remind everyone that as there may be work functions, there is an appropriate standard of workplace conduct that must be complied with.

Standards of BehaviorAll relevant Company Policies and Procedures continue to apply during work-related events and functions. As such, you are expected to behave and dress appropriately, whilst treating all others with respect and in an environment free from harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination and bullying of any kind. |
Drugs and AlcoholIf you choose to drink alcohol, you must ensure that you drink responsibly and ensure you have plenty to eat. The venue/ Employer has an obligation to serve alcohol in a responsible and safe manner and has the right to refuse the service of alcohol to anyone in their view who is behaving inappropriately or is intoxicated. We also remind you that the use of illegal drugs is always prohibited during work functions. Any employee who presents at a work function under the influence, consumes illegal drugs at a work function, or deals in or solicit the consumption of illegal drugs, may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including the termination of your employment. |
TransportIt is important to us that at the end of the night you travel home safely. Employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from any work-related functions and we encourage you to utilise public transport, taxis, or ride-share services. If you are driving to and from any work-related function, please remember it is your personal responsibility to ensure you are below the legal BAC limit. |
