Sharing your location with Hudson for Reference Checks

When you are providing referee details OR completing a reference, you'll be asked to allow Hudson to use your location.

Instructions on how to do this for your device type are below

iPhone

If you already allow location sharing via your mobile browser, it will pop up and ask you to share your location:

If you have location sharing set to Never for the mobile browser, you may see a message like this pop up whilst completing the referee details/reference form;

You can change this via the following steps;

1. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services

2. Find the browser you are using (for example Safari or Chrome etc.)

3. Select “Ask Next Time OR When I Share “ or "While using the App"

4. Toggle "Precise Location" to ON

5. Close the reference check link and open it again

 Android

If you already allow location sharing via your mobile browser, it will pop up and ask you to share your location.

You can change this via the following steps;

1. On your device, drag down from the top and select the cog icon for settings

2. Tap Location > App permissions

3. Select your browser from the list

4. For location, camera, and microphone permissions, you may be able to choose from the below, ensure you choose either All the time OR Allow only while using the app:

• Allow only while using the app: The app can use the permission only when you're using that app.

• Ask every time: Every time you open the app, it'll ask to use the permission. It can use the permission until you’re done with the app.

• Don't allow: The app cannot use the permission, even when you’re using the app.
